Congratulations to John Lamanna's Goldenrod Gators
When John Lamanna literally took over an open team midway through the
draft in February, he couldn't have seriously imagined he would win the
league nine months later. His Goldenrod Gators snuck into the playoffs
as the last wild seed. They cruised past the No. 1 seed Northeast
Huskies in five games in the first round, then swept the No. 5 seed St.
Louis Maulers in the semi finals. That set up an unlikely matchup of 7
vs 8 seed in the World Series, when the Gators took on the Mohawk Valley
Jive. After falling behind two games to one, Goldenrod took three
straight to capture the crown. Congrats, John, on an unlikely and
amazing season.
