The Dodgers' Mike Trout (league-leading 138 runs, 198 hits, 135 walks, .467 OBP) and Miguel Cabrera (.343 average, 152 RBIs) finished second and third, while the Huskies' Robinson Cano and Evan Longoria rounded out the top five.

Lee led the MMDA with 20 wins, ranked second with 1.4 walks per nine innings and third with a 5.86 SO/BB ratio. Lee also received the third-best offensive support in the league with 5.37 runs per game.
Crows lefty Clayton Kershaw might have had a more-balanced statistical case to win the Cy Young, seeing that he led the MMDA with 256 innings and finished second with 19 wins and a 2.46 ERA and third with 240 strikeouts and a .212 opponent average.
